*SOLD* June-1,800 (with tune up option) 12 year old Grade sorrel mare. June is a cute 14.3h stocky mare. This mare was brought to us by a cleint as june was just too much for her 8 year old daughter. She is a great little trail horse . There is so many pluses to this stout little mare. She loads great in the trailer. Ties great. Good to groom and Bathe. Good to trim. Great on the trail. great fast walk, and will go all day. She crosses water without blinking an eye . good over logs, thick brush etc. She was previously a kids horse so she had gotten away with a few things. so she needs a intermediate rider. expecially in the arena . asking $1,800 or $2,000 with a solid 15 day tune up. Eyez on Brimmer- (consignment) Sold “Ducati” is a 2006 AQHA Grey Gelding. This gelding is big, standing at 16.2h with a size 1 shoe. Sadly, Duke doesn’t want to be a barrel horse so this forces us to sell him. He is an awesome Trail Horse, and great in the arena. Great with water, brush, bridges you name it, he is a rock on the trail. He’s easy to catch, stands still to saddle and groom puts his head down to be bridled, a real gentle man. A joy to shoe, hops right up into the trailer and will stand tied all day. He Is well broke, neck reins, moves off leg, gives to the bit, counter archs, good stop and back. And on top of it all he has a Calm been there done that attitude, not spooky at all. Good for an intermediate rider at HOME or on the TRAIL. Duke is a wonderful horse but does have a few quirks. Duke is an ex Race horse and here in lies our problem, he completely changes when he is in a competition setting. So, I do not recommend buying him if you’re looking for a competitive horse unless you have the experience and time to help him adapt. He has been patterned on barrels but as soon as you head to a public arena (more than 3 people riding at a time) it’s a different story. Feel free to message me for more info on this part. He also is a light cribber, doesn’t wear a collar and isn’t bad at all, doesn’t tear down fences or anything. While at the arena he goes hours without doing it no problem but still it’s there. This gelding has so many positives but unfortunately, he doesn’t fit what we need. He has a beautiful little jog, extended trot and a collected lope that I think he would make someone an awesome English prospect. He is straight legged and beautiful. He did have 2 bone chips removed in his 2 front knees, but the vet cleared him with a clean bill of health even for performance (cosmetic bump on knees). That being 3 years ago, he has had absolutely no soundness issues even after a long intense day of riding or training. No other scars or health issues. No buck, bite or kick, and an absolute dream on the ground, extremely respectful of space. Great in the pasture and gets along with everyone. Really hoping to find him a awesome trail/ranch home or an English home who will love him as much as we do. He is utd on everything, just had teeth floated, chiro, and brand new set of shoes on. Someone will be getting a heck of a deal as this gelding is royally bred and has a lot of life time earnings.
